Eligibility Information

Students may qualify for special education services under any of the thirteen eligibility categories (5 CCR § 3030):

• Autism
• Deaf-blindness
• Deafness
• Emotional Disturbance
• Hearing Impairment
• Intellectual Disability
• Multiple Disabilities
• Orthopedic Impairment
• Other Health Impairment
• Specific Learning Disability
• Speech and Language Impairment
• Traumatic Brain Injury
• Visual Impairment

Additionally, the student's disability must adversely affect the child's educational performance and require special education and/or related services.
